Samsung Electronics Launches The Freestyle, a Portable Screen for Entertainment Wherever You Are

Before CES 2022, Samsung Electronics announced the launching of The Freestyle, an all-new portable screen and entertainment device. The Freestyle has first-of-its-kind technology and flexibility for users who wish to carry video and audio information with them wherever they go.

The Freestyle is a small, portable gadget that includes a projector, voice assistant, and lighting effects. It's aimed toward millennials and Gen Z. The Freestyle is lightweight at only 830 grams and can be used to transform any surface into a screen. Unlike typical, boxy projectors, the Freestyle's flexible cradle allows for 180-degree rotation. It allows users to project high-quality video anywhere – tables, floors, walls, and even ceilings – without the need for a separate screen.

"The Freestyle is a one-of-a-kind projector that focuses on great adaptability and flexibility to match consumers' changing lifestyles," said Simon Sung, Executive Vice President and Head of Sales & Marketing for Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business. "Without the constraints of space and form factor, The Freestyle is a fun and adaptable product that users may use in any way they choose."

The Freestyle includes full-auto keystone and auto-leveling capabilities, which are enabled by industry-leading technology. The capabilities enable the device's screen to automatically adapt to any surface at any angle. It results in a perfectly proportionate display every time. Furthermore, The Freestyle's autofocus feature lets it display a crystal-clear picture on any surface, at any angle, and up to 100 inches in size. The Freestyle also includes a twin passive radiator for clean and deeper bass without distortion. Its 360-degree sound radiation lets users enjoy cinema-quality sound no matter where they are.

Customers can carry the Freestyle with them anywhere they go. It is suitable with additional batteries1 which support USB-PD and 50W/20V output or more. The Freestyle is the first portable display that can be linked to a regular E262 light socket without additional cabling, in addition to normal wall plug compatibility.

When not being utilized as a projector to communicate information, the Freestyle generates a mood luminance with its ambient mode and clear lens cover. The Freestyle may also function as a smart speaker. Music to associate visual effects displayed on walls, floors, or wherever else is also achievable.

Among the Smart TV capabilities offered on the Freestyle are built-in streaming services. As well as mirroring and casting options that work with both Android and iOS mobile devices. It is the only portable projector in the industry that has been approved by global main OTT partners. It ensures that clients enjoy the greatest video viewing experience imaginable. It's also the first projector with far-field voice control. It allows users to activate the device without touching it by selecting their preferred voice assistants.

The Freestyle will be on exhibit from January 5 to 7 at CES 2022. It will be available for pre-order in the United States on January 4. It will be with availability expanding to other parts of the world in the coming months.
