Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams has been the fastest-growing program in Microsoft’s history, with over 330,000 businesses using it across the world since its launch.

If you work for one of these companies, you’re probably always thinking of new ways to put the app to use. But if you aren’t already utilizing Teams, here are five reasons why you should.

  1. It is more than casual chit-chat.

You may use the chat box in Teams to have quick conversations with your teammates. However, there’s a lot more to it.

Do you need to send a file to someone? Simply copy and paste it into the discussion. Then call or video chat with your colleague immediately from the window to discuss the file. Alternatively, you may arrange a meeting without leaving the chat. You won’t have to switch between apps during your talk because Chat is connected with other Microsoft products like OneNote and Office. Everything is available in the chat room.

  1. Before, during, and after meetings

Getting things ready for meetings might be tricky. One email has the agenda, while another contains the agreed-upon activities. What happened to the material you were supposed to read before the call?

Meetings in groups make this process much easier. You may start talking to the participants about the agenda, exchanging the files you need them to look at, and keeping track of meeting notes and to-dos as soon as you set up the meeting. You can even find out who the unknown persons who have been invited are.

The recording of the call is then instantly available on the same tab, so if you missed the meeting, you don’t have to go looking for it. It’s right there, among the meeting minutes and agreed-upon activities.

  1. Less email

Drowning in emails is no longer an option. Because discussions are now held in your Teams in a structured manner, you no longer have all of the email-upon-email answer, which is typically delivered as a Reply All.

And what if someone has to email you a file or ask you a quick question? That’s why there’s Chat!

  1. Improved teamwork and communication

Because of the excellent integration with Office 365, you don’t need to switch programs to collaborate on a document. You can create a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document on Microsoft Teams, share it instantly with your colleagues, and then co-author it in a flash.

Multiple versions will no longer be sent out through email, resulting in version confusion. You may leave comments and to-dos on the paper, as well as chat with your coworkers to debate it in real-time.

  1. Maintain constant connectivity from any place.

When we’re on the road, we need to be connected, available, and have access to all of our resources. With the Microsoft Teams phone app, you get fast access to all of your applications and documents. You can easily respond to conversations and groups, join meetings with a single click, and collaborate endlessly. So you’re always informed, even while you’re on the move.
